Dear WFM Partners and Supporters,
I am pleased to share with you the World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy's 2011-12 Annual Report. WFM-IGP celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2012, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many organizations and individuals like you who make WFM-IGP's work to advance human rights, democracy, peace and justice possible.
During 2011-12, momentous events unfolded across the Middle East and North Africa, presenting important opportunities for the advancement of human rights, democracy and international justice issues. WFM-IGP mobilized its global network of civil society partners to take advantage of these opportunities by helping to reinforce partnerships between NGOs, governments, and international organizations. WFM-IGP supported an unprecendented level of involvement of NGOs in the work to protect civilians from atrocities, promote rule of law, and facilitate transparency in governments and international institutions.
As we look ahead, we expect new challenges to arise, but we are also optimistic that we will be able to take advantage of the many opportunities to advance peace, democracy, security, and justice. With your support, WFM-IGP and its programs, including the International Democratic Governance program, the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect, and the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, will continue to advance global peace, democracy, and justice in 2013 and beyond.
William R. Pace
